Common questions

What is LockedIn Browser?

A screen coach for your Mac. It captures what’s on your display and helps you get clear answers when you need them — without leaving your flow.

How does it work?

Share or capture your screen, then tap Ask. LockedIn reads the question on screen and returns a coached answer. Turn on Auto to ask when the page content changes.

Can I use it on my phone?

Yes. Run the host on your Mac, then open LockedIn on your phone (QR or share link) to follow along and ask from there.

Is my history private?

Questions and answers stay scoped to your account. History is per-user, not shared across accounts on the same host.

Does it work with LockDown Browser?

Yes. LockedIn is designed to work alongside LockDown Browser and similar secure exam environments.

How much does it cost?

You get 10 minutes free to test the tool. After that, it’s $25 USDC for 1 day of access. Contact us if you need something longer-term.

How long is my screen shared?

Only while you’re signed in and the host is running. When you log out, sharing stops — your screen is no longer shared.

Who can see my screen?

Capture stays on your Mac. Stream and answers are scoped to your account — other users on the same host don’t see your session or history.

Do I need to keep Terminal open?

After install, the host runs in the background. You can close the Terminal window; reopen LockedIn in the browser when you need it again.

What if Screen Recording was denied?

Open System Settings → Privacy & Security → Screen Recording, enable the LockedIn helper, then reload the app. Setup will pick up from there.
